"Candomblé is very interesting for me as it is a religion exalting the personality, where one can be truly him/herself, and not as the society would like one to be. For those who have something to express through the unconscious, the trance allows it to manifest itself.” During his intimate contact with Candomblé and the world of the Orishas, Verger as an admirer, friend and initiate (Babalaô and Oju Obá) acquired a great knowledge and was granted respect and protection. To honour the trust invested in him, he spent the rest of his life collecting legends, liturgies and ritual sequences, all scrupulously documented in his books and photographs, that became an invaluable source of information for other researchers and followers of the Orixás.

The Orixás and the Dark Energy in the Universe
|
The Hayehwatha Institute hypothesizes that the dark energy of the universe is the same realm that contains the energy formations that comprise the fundamental structures of the universe experienced spiritually when one connects with the Orixás.

As the NASA chart (above) indicates, 70 percent or more of the universe consists of dark energy, about which scientists know very little.

Decoding the Mystery of Dark Energy
October 2003 - ASP Article Excerpts
.
- "About 70% of the universe’s energy consists of a force that accelerates cosmic expansion..."
- "We must untangle the meaning of a strange new terrain ruled by the covert forces of dark energy."
- "The latest observational and theoretical exploration of this mystery will point the way to a more fundamental understanding of cosmic evolution and the inner workings of the universe itself."

The diagram to the left reveals changes in the rate of expansion since the universe’s birth 15 billion years ago. The more shallow the curve, the faster the rate of expansion. The curve changes noticeably about 7.5 billion years ago, when objects in the universe began flying apart at a faster rate.
.
Astronomers theorize that the faster expansion rate is due to a mysterious, dark force that is pushing galaxies apart.
